The foundation stone ceremony was held on August 8, 2009 at Dhanyala, Jhelum, Pakistan to officially signify the start of construction of Bukhsh Hospital in the revered memory of Sufi Saint Mian Muhammad Bukhsh. Officials and special guests in attendance for today's event included the Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Excise & Taxation Minister Government of Punjab Mian Mujtaba Shujah-ur-Rehman, Chief Secretary, Punjab and Raja Muhammad Afzal former Senator and MNA Jhelum, as well as invited guests representing media, government and business organizations from all over Pakistan. The Chief Minister of Punjab addressed the guests after the foundation stone unveiling ceremony. He presented Dr. Shehzana Imtiaz, a senior consultant Gyneacology, DHQ Hospital, Jhelum with a shield for her services rendered at Free Medical Camp at the Bukhsh Hospital. Furthermore, the Chairman of Mian Muhammad Bukhsh Trust Mr. Mushtaq Hussain Bargatt presented souvenirs to Mr. Shahbaz Sharif and Raja Muhammad Afzal.
