Why Mian Muhammad Bukhsh?

The legendry Sufi Poet Mian Muhammad Bukhsh (1826-1907A.D.) blessed the JHELUM PLAINS, the terrace of Kashmir Sierra, with his mystic presence. A creative spell spanning over the latter half of the nineteenth century saw the flowering of his poetic talent. His poetry offers rare blend of immense educative value for social and moral reconstruction. In the process, he developed a rich literary idiom that epitomizes his unique status as most popular social reformer. His devotees in reverence to the Great Master have envisioned gigantic services in Health, Education and Community Development. Picking up thread from his eternal message of altruism, the sons of the soil decided to put life in his teachings by facilitating Saifal Malook conference every year on his death anniversary.

Alhamdulillah, MMBT has succeeded in getting notified by the Government of Punjab, the re-naming of two important roads in Jhelum & Dina municipal limits respectively in his commemoration.

In his revered memory MMBT has envisioned to construct a public library and first Punjabi University. A 100 Kanal piece of land has already been acquired for these objectives.
